Just dropped off my Rock Hard cage at the powdercoaters!
this thread got me to throw down the cash. Personally. I love it. not only do I have the handles that I felt I was missing. I like how it gives the jeep a bit of attitude when looking at it from the outside. I just hope I never have to test it.

Does the dash bar affect the sound quality of the dash tweeters?
Also, do you have the rear seat bar as well? Just from looking a pictures of it along with those of some of the recent rolled Jeeps, it doesn't look like the rear bar would provide much support. If the back OEM supports fail, the extra bar just seems like something else to fall on the heads of rear passengers.

When you say rear seat bar do you meant the center piece that goes between the B-pillar cage (where the speaker bar mounts) and the C-pillar cage (where the rear seat belts mount to)? If so, then not yet. Though 4Wheel Parts has another 20% off coupon this month so I may pick it up.
They also have a rear bar that mounts (at the B-pillar) right behind the front seats. You can tie a seat belt harness to it as well. There's also another one that mounts to the C-pillar cage and goes behind the rear seats just like the front one for the same use.
Are you talking about this bar?

The main cage and the top bar over the rear seats are all they have listed for the 4-dr. I can see where the one above could apply to either model, though.
Yeah, after seeing the last two Jeeps on here where the tops almost completely crushed when they rolled, I'm really thinking of buying this. I just don't see how it would help any rear passengers since nothing seems to be bolted down to the floor like the main cage. The bar over the rear is only attached to the top of the frame. Doesn't seem as if that would help much.
Have you seen this thing in action before to see how well it holds up? I know not all accidents are the same but I wonder how well it works.
BTW - looking at your write-up again reminded me how the white of the inside of the hardtop really doesn't look good, especially on a red Jeep. I saw in another thread where you blacked it out so those were obviously taken earlier. I have a red Jeep as well and the look of inside of the hard top persuaded me to get a soft top only. How's the black interior holding up?

No, that link you posted takes you to the bar for the 2-dr JK that recreates the C-pillar bar on the 4-dr JK. That bar is for the 2-dr only since we already have it.
I was talking about these bars (1st pic is the 4-dr version, the bars in the other 2 pics work on both models).....

i went to rockhard's website and they dont show the bars behind the seats like u have here in these pics. im digging the bars and would like them on my 4dr jeep but dont know where to find them . are they from rockhard or someone else?
Call the sales # listed on Rock Hard's website and ask for James. You can order directly through them.
The lower dash bar actually sits just above the face of the tweeters rather than directly in front of them. I haven't really noticed any huge difference in sound quality.
