Keeping it clean... well sort of

Default Keeping it clean... well sort of

I figured out after owning my JK for a few weeks washing it was a futile effort.... especially a black JK.

...but I sure am glad I bough that power washer

I don't use it to 'clean it' but it's great for rinsing the dirt off.

While you can never win keeping a black vehicle clean, at least you win over all for owning a black Jeep

Ya I also gave up on keeping it clean and stick to just cleaning up the inside.

I had a silver Tacoma 2 vehicles back, and I thought the same thing at first. It is a bit better, but not what I thought it would be... (I live in snowy New England...can you say road salt/sand in Feb?)

...given my findings I went back to my one true love... black. Black JK, black Harley.

I knew if I bought anything else (I liked the silver and deep blue) I knew I would regret it 3 days later and want black.... found that out the hard way with the old red VTX1800.

...it later became a black HD Road King.

My dad and I believe very strongly in the Henry Ford Motto... "Any color you want...as long as it is black"

I just do my best, but nothing IMHO looks better than a clean black car. I think a clean black sahara with the black hardtop looks beautiful and mean as hell

I learned the inside trick last weekend. Remove roof and doors, get it up to 55+ Mph and "Tada!" ...all clean on the inside

Don't worry the roof and doors are never on the jeep. It is more the stubborn mud and dirt that can't be blown away by the wind is the problem.

I understand where you're comin' from....but try road salt/sand AND the 7 miles of gravel road I have to go down every time I leave the house....3.5 each way. Don't get me wrong, I love black too, and have owned a few of them. It's just hard to keep one looking decent when you live out in the country in Alaska......
