JK Show & Tell Whether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.

Laugh now but envy my 1/2 doors later...

Default Steel doors are ready...kinda

I've got the first steel door tacked together. It came out pretty good and only weighs 26 pounds with all the parts. The body curve is not going to match perfectly, but it is going to look good enough for my needs. I'll finish welding the two rears tomorrow and begin preping for paint. I got detonator yellow mixed up at napa and I'm anxious to see how well it matches. I am going to use spray-can bedliner on the inside.

Default Tube doors too

This is the frame. I had to add a middle crossbar because the sheetmetal was bowing in. When I am done with the half doors I'm going to make a set of tube door just like this. You can never have too many door options for the jeep...

Looks great man. This reminded me that I still haven't gotten you any measurements of mine. I'm going to go out and do that tonight after the kid goes to sleep. If she sees me heading to the garage, she'll want to come out and "help".

Bump...

Any pictures of the final project? Total cost of the steel?

Any way I can get a copy of outline on paper or cardboard?

Come to think of it... How bout I pay the shipping for the wood cut-outs since they're already painted yellow?

This weekend I took the back doors apart to paint them. I ordered paint from NAPA and hope to paint them next weekend. I also drew plans for upper doors and plan to make wood templates soon. They are going to be a 1"X1" square tube frame with sheet metal shaped like the the fabric on a "real" upper. For the back doors I'm going to put in fixed plexiglass and in the front I'm going to try to rig sliding plexiglass.

I'd be happy to ship the wood template to you, but the one I have is shot. I had to redrill and reattach stuff so many times that it's all jacked up now. If you want I'll trace the frame and sheet metal and send it to you.

I assume you just traced the full doors & cut the top even with the tub? Thanks for the offer, but I think I can do that.

Default Finally done (kinda...)

The Krylon doesn't match worth a shat so I am going to have them painted this winter when I get the front doos done. I just got the skins done and hope to make the frames this week.

BedLine the doors, you can't ever get a color match on anything aftermarket...
