well i wasn't to sure where i wanted to mount in. i was thinking across the hood, back swing gate. but problems showed with both. so i went rear bumper. i think it looks good and it clears the D-rings fine. im just not so sure about a full spare i guess ill tell once i get one..

Good thing you wheel in mud. On a rocky or tightly treed trail you would tear that off f--king up you bumper in the process.

I gave up trying to figure out where to mount the Hi-Lift. Finally decided to buy the Hi-Lift cover to keep things clean and just laid the jack on the floor behind the front seat. No problem with leg room since I have the back seat removed. The jack is held in place using bungee cords to the front seat brackets. Between the weight and the bungee cords it doesn't move. Might be a problem in a roll over but that wouldn't be the only problem Theft? I doubt I'll ever remove the hardtop. Here in the desert it's either too hot or too cold to remove it.
