New (debadged) anvil JKU Rubicon MT
Well, I've finally done it; brought home a brand-new rubi yesterday!
Our last Jeep was an '11 JKU sport stripped version so it's kind of weird to have heated seats, power windows and enough HP to actually keep up with freeway traffic.
As was the case with the last jeep, my first act to make it MY jeep was a total debadge for that "all business" military look...now only I know I paid too much for a Jeep.
Here's some pics from her "christening" today in the local dirt pit, though we kept it simple and easy on the rig (break-in worries!):

Step 1 was to defeat her so I know the rig's limits from the outset; it took a very steep, loose and wet motorcycle atv trail at a crawl with both lockers on to find it. Otherwise it was unbelievable what the rubi could do out of the box; it is a night and day difference compared to the old Sport... which was no slouch off-road itself.
I noticed Jeep still hasn't fixed the manual stick's tendency to whip around like a stick in a blender yet, unfortunately... WTF Jeep? Otherwise I'm very happy with my new ride; I never realized what I was missing by not going the Rubi route.

I honestly don't get the "sticker panache" thing with the Rubi. Isn't it the stuff underneath that matters?
Anyway, Wranglers are EVERYWHERE here in Utah and it doesn't bother me if nobody notices that I drove by. I see lots of rubicon stickers too... TOO many. I'm gonna have to look closer now to see how many are fakes.
