New SOLID diff covers installed.
so, i finally just around to installing my new diff covers and i love'em
. here are some pics:
old cover

the new cover with lube lockers

The folks at Spyntek re-designed the inside so you don't have to grind down the inside anymore for the e-locker

Front

Rear

I'm really glad i got them, and for the price basically being a 2 for 1, i couldn't pass it up.

ha i got mine in monday. i sanded the letters down and using engine paint to color them RED. its gonna look saaweeeeet. there are really really beefy and cheap. makes me think what the difference is compared to the 200$ diff covers.
i don't think there is a difference. like you said, they're really beefy. i think they are really well built and heavy duty stuff. i just can't believe they are selling them so cheap right now. they have been that price for quite awhile now. i love'em. i love the way the look and think they are a terrific product.

when i first got them i was kinda surprised on the thickness and weight. thats how i knew it really is SOLID. my gf was like "thats what you ordered?" with an attitude like im wasting money. she extended her arm to see it, so i handed to her, and BAM the weight got her. her arm went all the way down while holding the cover and hit her thigh. HA. then i added "watch out, they are heavy." i can see already, i cant tell her im buying stuff for the jeep.

I bought these in late 2008 for my 2007 Sahara and loved them. Just ordered them for my 2010 Rubicon. I can't believe they still have the same sale going over a year later. I also ordered some lubelockers from Northridge.
For those wondering which diff covers to get, you can't beat the Solids for the price.

I have these diff covers. Although they are beefy, the spline keeps getting hit by my trackbar. Also, over time, the nuts tend to loosen up causing them to leak. So, I have to get under there and check to make sure there are no leaks ever so often. I keep my allen wrench handy.
Soon we will be changing out the bolts so we don't have to keep tightening them up. It gets to be a PITA. Just sharing my experience with them.
