Yamaha you are making this really difficult. I came to the forums for pics on possibilities of mods for my silver two door Jeep. Saw your Jeep early and loved the wheels. Been trying to find an alternative to them cause I hate copying someone else's build, but now you go to the tires I have planned! You're killing me here.

I know the measurement thing is super annoying. Have played that game several times myself. For what its worth, your Jeep looks great with the tires on and in my opinion btter than before. The Terras on yours always looked a tad "swelled", but still good. The Duratracs look perfect man. Think I have to give in now and just ignore the feeling of copying - my tire/wheel guy has even been suggesting the wheels. Glad you live so far away I guess.

Jeep looks awsome with the Duratracs. How do the 4:10 gears do with them?

Hammer, i saw on here somewhere that copying is the highest form of flattery. (something like that)

Go ahead and copy the wheel and tire combo, i don't mind at all! My Jeep actually has a twin somewhere in the 35" thread with an exception of the wheels. As for the swelled look of the terra's, that was because i was only running a BB and i have since upgraded to a RK coil lift. If the Duratracs were 34" and the lift didn't look big enough i was going to throw a set of 3/4 - 1 inch spacers in because i love the look and function of having more space in the wells.

My 4.10 gears handle these and my Terra's great. At 70 - 75 mph on the highway the jeep still shifts into overdrive and i cruise at 2000 rpm. On a windy day or a really humid day it gets annoying at times having to hit the pedal to keep the needle on target. I don't have cruise control so i'm not sure if the computer would get out of overdrive and correct the speed or not.

But my gears do just fine, highway or city. I would only upgrade gears if you got a Real set of big 35's or a set of 37's or larger. But i drove a 2 door with 34.X duratracs and it was regeared to 5.13's and it was awesome. The acceleration was all back where it should be. Bottom line, if you have money to blow then go ahead you'll enjoy it, but if you don't, it won't bother you.

They look great. Did you need to lift for those tires? Any rubbing? How long are they expected to last?

For anyone interested I was just reading this post on how to calculate metric tire
sizes (315/75/17r) to inches (35x12.5x17). I always wondered how they calculated these and just thought it was an interesting subject to share here!

Default Same tires

I never thought about measuring mine, but I am happy with them as an answer for winter driving. I don't mind if they are an inch shorter as I won't be using them in the same way as my Nittos. Hope they work well for you.

My JK has the RK 2.5" kit which is a bit more in the front and about 2.5 in the rear. As for turning and rubbing, none there as my wheels have the perfect backspacing for it.

As for how long they'll last, with proper psi and rotating them, i'd expect them to last at least 45,000 miles. most likely 55-60k.
