I am not knocking him for having to do it slower at all. I am simply saying that I think there are better ways to go about mods. A different order, if you will. People would be better off to learn how to drive thier vehicle stock then throwing serious coin at it for HUGE tires and wheels. For what he is into for tires, he could have gone with 35s and a winch, or some driveshafts...

That rig, and you ALL know it, is primed for serious breakage if he wheels it and shame on you for encouraging him (as he is tight of cash) to go out and thrash a vehicle that will most assuredly break if he wheels it hard AT ALL, and then has to spend MORE money that he does not have on carnage that he never needed to have in the first place. Its fun spending someone elses money hey?

I totally understand what you're saying...... I just don't get it. are you being the nice guy now, I said it was a pretty cool jeep too, I'd like to put 37s on mine, I just know I'll brake something really soon wheeling it. but I do understand what you're saying, you're probably going the wrong way by calling everybody else gay

LOL
Never really been known as a nice guy... Just sharing my opinion. I used GHEY as I thought PANDERING SYNCOPHANTS would be lost on the masses.

It drives me bonkers to see people stroking each other over something that is obviously not sensible, but it says something about those that do.

Newbies are MUCH better served by some honesty and forthrightness than by virtual cocksucking. I wish someone would have told me the real score when I started all those years ago... I might not have listened, but at least O would have had an opportunity to take advantage of knowledge proffered by those more informed than myself.

awesome rig
there was a time (I sound like my dad:naw) when you had to work your way up to get bigger tires, heck I went from 29s, 31, 33, 35, 37s, now days you can get a 4" lift and slap 38s on a jeep, but anyway, a big tire will not make you stop being a newbie, luckily it still takes time. (not saying this badly, they have already told me I sound negative sometimes

Did you have to upgrade anything else such as drive shafts? etc? Also what backspacing on those rims?

Still would like to see these answers....

Suck it up princess, try to untwist your own panties if you dont mind.

Just for reference... Most CANADIANS I know do not have such easily knotted panties as this guy...

And thats another thing... Its not the Jeep I am against in and of itself... Its the stock drive train with way oversized tires and a lack of a full size spare and the problems that it would cause for himself and for others that he wheels with when it breaks and holds the whole group up for no good reason.
Good read for you TOTHEWALL

Gentlemen... Stating my opinion and defending myself against unwarrented personal attack does not make me a troll. Fawk.

You guys are all bent out of shape because I shared an opinion that you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for encouraging someone to wheel a vehcile that is not set up for it, thereby costing the owner $$$ that he does not have.

Show me where I have said something erroneous... Are you telling me that a stock spare will adequately replace 38's if he gets a flat or something? Or are you telling me that the puny Dana 30 is up to the forces that the weight of 38's will subject it to?

Also noteworthy is the fact that I never personally attacked the original poster, in fact he came on and said that all feedback was welcome, and even had some funny comments on what I had to say. he also mentioned that he is looking at a rear bumper and tire carrier combination to which I responded with my experiences with the WARN products that I am actually using and have first hand knowledge of. Strangely enough you guys missed all that, preferring more to look for something else and perpetuate this bullshit TROLL thing.

The OP and I have had a couple of exchanges ON TOPIC, and you mental lilliputians insist on clinging to your personal attacks on me. So be it... I kind of feel like I am in a battle of wits with an unarmed man looking at some of your stuff in this thread, but if it untwists your panties and makes you feel better about yourselves, you go right the fuck ahead and bring on the flames.

TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Sorry dude for contributing to this happening in your thread. It IS a nice Jeep... ALL JKs are, but if you are really unable to afford to buy and upgrade all you need to upgrade in order to make this rig somewhat bulletproof, dont listen to these mental midgets and wheel the shit out of it as you will only spend the money you DO have, fixing things that you dont need to be fixing.
I look forward to seeing your rig running the 9" or D44 or better yet D60s filled with the 538s and the chromo axles that you need to be running those huge meats and not have to worry about breaking them all the time when you DO wheel.
Take your time and do it right the first time and save yourself some money that is better spent on upgrades than on fixing stuff that you break because your shoes are too big for your drivetrain.

Good luck man.

Let's try to get this back on course....
Pretty much everything is stock except what I listed. The drive shaft is stock, axles, etc..As far as backspacing, I'm not sure...I'm going to 4wheelparts today after work, my gears came in, finally!!!
...and while were trying not to let the trolls in, here's some stuff I got on my newbie rig:
Finally got on the HI LIFT hood mount installed
....and a stabilizer shock (what a difference!)
....and an Olympic stubby front bumper
sorry for the crappy pics, had some time while I'm at work...gotta get a camera, the iphone camera can only do some much!?!?!
