Have to disagree with tubes only looking good on CJs as one of the prior posters put it. When done right, I love a good tube bumper, and that blue 2 door JK with the stubbie proves it.
Dont have one currently on the JK, put here is a picture of the ole TJ the day I brought it's new garage mate home (crappy phone pic).
Its a Manik mid length Tube...and if they made one for the JK, I would def buy it.

I have actually heard of a few people doing this. with how cheap you can put on board air now a days i dunno if it is worth the effort, but if youre shor ton space.. it sure makes for a good solution.

Hopefully this worked. Using iPhone to download the pics.
These are from the Collins Bros. Site I had mentioned earlier in a post. I will be buying the front and rear bumpers only instead of the package deal. I'm thinking bout adding some rock rails to the sides instead. But I do like how that JK looks with these bumpers. However I am not sure if the front bumper will accept a winch. Have to call them about that.

The '67 Bronco that I had in college had 4" oilfield drill pipe full width bumpers front and back.
No one wanted to play bumper cars
They sure were rough on the knee caps if you cut it too short coming around the corner of the old blue.

I just think the fron collins bumper looks like it sticks out forward way to far.
The rear looks great
