Default Pinewood Derby Jeep

My son and I just finished his pinewood derby vehicle for cub scouts and we made a Jeep.

I think its awesome that you built a jeep, but the competitor in me says aero dynamics might not be that good.

It's funny, you would think aerodynamics would matter but its more about the wheels and axels. The winner last year didn't even carve the block. Just tuned the wheels and painted it.

Very cool man! It's all about weight placement and having the elast amount of friction on your wheels and axles. The ramp is not long enough to really have to worry about aerodynamics.

So to fill everyone in on the results. We took first place!!! Not in speed on the track but best in show. Crushed the competition. I may have been wrong about the impact of the flat grill and windshield. We lost the speed portion of the race early on.

Default Congrats!

So it goes slow and looks better than everything else. You really did build a JK. Great job on the build!
