Poll D30 w/ 37"^ tires

Ok I know I've seen this question come up but it's always been a no go at least every time I saw it. This is why I was set on 35" and was going to run this for 2 years until I got my new front axle then upgrade to 37" tires. However I'm starting to notice a lot of guys running 37s on the stock D30 and have been for many miles with no issues this made me think maybe I can just get the 37s and run them until I get my front axle. So I wanted to start a poll for my info and others.

Please post year, and approximate mileage you've had the tires on, tire brand and size, axle ratio, 2 door or 4 door, about how many times a year you wheel, and any mods you have to the axle. Then if you've had any issues with the setup. Of course pics are always welcome.

I have a 4door JK, running 37/12.50/17 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS, have approximately 40K on it with no issues. I'm running 4.88s in the rears, my dana 30 diff is open, The only beefing I did to my dana 30 are C-gussets, poly performance heavy duty ball joints, lower control skids, and ARB covers.
This pick was right after my gears were done and just before my 37s went on.

I have a 2011 4door auto 3.73 gears (until I decide if I'm doing hemi or SC then decide what gears) nitto trail grapplers 37-12.5-17 with 4.5 BS and about 2500miles including a couple offroad trips with no issues

Well if we get a few more people that have gone awhile I may be the next cause if I can last 2 years with a D30 and 37s then I'm definitely going that route.

idk what year you have, but im running the new penastar (2012), i should be more than fine with 4.88s. which will fit on a d30. pretty much im just thinking if a trussed/shafted d30 wont break/bend. it should be fine till i get the money for d60s front and rear.

This was my 2010 JKU Sahara with stock gears (3.73's) 4" Rancho long arm suspension lift 37X12.50R18 BFG KM2 tires..... Rode just fine.... Lil sluggish on the hiway but it's a jeep.... Whatcha expect lol.... I rolled that, now I have a 2010 JKU Rubicon with 4" Skyjacker lift and 315/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs, I liked the 37s on the Sahara with 3.73's so as soon as my Duratracs wear down I'm going with 37X12.50R17 Goodyear MT/Rs!

What exactly counts as damage? I've blown u joints, unit bearings, and shafts with a 30? that's over the course of a year. I'm easy on the pedal but shit breaks and I'm convinced that a 44 is NOT what I need up front but 60's and that's the direction I'm going.

oh and for what it's worth 2 bent tie rods. Till I upgraded...

I was thinking any kind of damage really. I am planning a 60 rear and pro rock 44 but that can all change with the more research I do
