I am pretty sure it is a custom piece. That's not a JK, but would work in one.

From my research and emails the RR has no place for the water to drain IF it gets in the snorkel. Perhaps snow or rain or splash from a puddle. That alone was enough for me to go with the AEV. I love the AEV and the prefilter works awaesome.

I have had it on now for almost 2 years..
1)We get a ton of heavy rain in South Florida and I have never had water in my air box.
2) I have been down trails that scratch my paint and even had a 2.5" tree branch hit my River Raider Snorkel that broke my light cover and not (scratch it) even a dent on the Snorkel.
3) I think the lines of it look great on our new JK's.

To sum it up Tight trails, Dusty trails, Tons of rain, to Wet trails the
River Raider Snorkel Works Great!!

Nice Pics!

As far as my post goes I got my facts straight from RR. I sent an email if there was a drain area and was told no, then was told I can tap a draincock which is what some users did. Now I wish I had that email still since I'm sure someone will call BS. I'm not saying it WILL get water all the way down to the air box I'm saying it might. So that's why I went with an aev.

I've got dust in my prefilter on a dusty/dry trail so that's good enough for me to prove that point. Not that a bit of dust here and there is going to make a huge difference but we're just giving opinions and impressions here.

im surprised no one has taken the initiative to try to build their own. im seriously considering it seeing as i dont have that sort of cash to lay down right now. any one have pics of the river raider under the hood?? id also like to get the measurements of the river raider. im thinking its possible to make your own with a little skill and time.
