JUST SHOW THEM THE TRAIL RATED BADGE...IF YOU CAN FIND IT!!!!
Great job by the way...cant wait till it's done.
so first off, the parts ... then the stories.
the front fenders i bought when i picked up the jeep, just picked em up. the hood latch i need, as well as the cowl sides that i will graft onto my pass fender. i loooove that red-rock color, more on that later.
the windshield frame looks to be in great shape, just the one dent on the top that will go away pretty easy.
the pass door is FULL of crap. all the melted plastic and broken glass ... that will take some leather gloves and work to get out. i won't sandblast the surfaces, but i should the seams inside to make sure they are all clean. all i need to find is a window crank mechanism and i'd be all set
then the goodies mentioned before. scratch n dent bumpers from the 4WD showroom. the rear SHOULD have come with the swing-out ... but they went and lost it. should be able to pick up one for a few bucks later on down the road. but here's the nifty part ... LOOK AT THAT FIT!!!! she slid right over my new x-member and all frame holes lined up!! i just need to drill 4 holes in the x-member and pick up some hardware.
i knew i shouldn't have stopped in there after going to davey's ... but its soo close ... you have to ...
now that jeep the parts came off of. 2009 4-door Rubi. it was in tow behind some mega motor home when both suffered the same fate ... that guys vacation, fawked.

BTW ... to anyone who thinks i'm stupid to buy that burt windshield frame ... i paid $750 for ALL parts in the previous 2 post (frame, door, and bumpers), while a new windshield frame alone still needing paint work, goes for $742 from an online dealer
