i saw a 4-door bikini ... but maybe i missed something. i looked over the pile pretty long

there were some vent-shades, and some grill inserts that i wanted ... but i need to keep the splurging to stuff that will actually help me get it on the road and past inspection. i think it was like $35 for the shades and $60 for the inserts, while i was haggling i should have offered him $75 for both

the jeep had a hardtop so i need all hardware to install a soft top as well, a bikini would be killer as well

and hey ... if there are any painters out there who might want to lend a hand with the spray work, i can do it here, but gota buy another air compressor first. i'll have all the body work done before hand, would just be to spray.

i'll bring the steaks and beer!

With the Trek top you wouldn't need factory hardware. It comes with everything you need!

Looks like you really know your way around the shop. Good job and it is starting to look much much better. I am jealous of your skills and wish I could take apart my Jeep without screwing it all up.

really really close ... like right now my excel spreadsheet says i'll be over by a few hundy, but i'm hoping a few deals come threw on used parts to put me back under. my goal was/is to buy it, fix it, and pimp it for under $10k, and that includes 5 all new mag wheels and tires.

i was laid off in MI the day before thanxgiving, and just started this new job recently here in PA. i am tryin to pay off my student loans ... but since this fawkin state wouldn't let me drive the YJ, i had to have some kind of a top down ride! i was thinkin $6-8k to buy a decent TJ ... but then decided this would be much more worth while with the funds, even thought more money.

if all current talks go threw, i think i'll be all set to have a damn nice ride and be able to start paying my loans fast again very soon. my only last hurdle is the paint work. i'd love to find someone willing to help me out with that, and i'd be more then willin to feed em that day, bring the beer, and do other work later. like if someone needed a bunch of welding done, who was a good painter. i would weld for days to pay off a nice paint job. shoot, i'd build a car hauler for someone who could really lay down some sick paint.

today i also got the bumpers installed. i didn't drill the wholes for the hitch mount, the rear is just bolted to the frame side rails i could have done that too ... but i got lazy and wanted to relax today.
