I just finished mine. We took the rugged ridge mount, cut off the spacers in the back and shaved them down so that it would be flush with the bumper, welded a piece of angle on to it for the screw on part at the top (we chose a piece of angle for stability and more support.), painted it in textured black paint to match the bumpers, and bolted it on to the Smittybilt bumper as a finished result.

Works great and I am very pleased with it.
