I was thinking about taking the original 18" wheels and getting them powder-coated black to match all of my other black add-ons. I talked to a guy the other day that had done the same to his original wheel and they looked great. I wanted to add 33's or 35's if they will fit. I have a 2" budget lift. Anybody know if this will work and if this is a good idea? Or would I be better off getting some 16" black steel wheels?

With the stock sahara rims with going any wider than a 12" tire you will require wheel spacers.

Also, I will lay $$$ on the table that you can pick up a set of 16 or 17" rims with the proper back spacing and a set of 5 nice 33's or 35's mud tires cheaper than picking up 5 - 33 or 35X12.50R18 tires!

With a 2" BB you can run both a 33 and 35. However, the 35's will have some rubbing if you are fully disco'ed and full flex. You may have to trim your pinch seam at the back and trim your stock fender flares or pick up a set of bushwacker flat fenders.

I was looking into getting 275/70-18 for my Sahara wheels hopefully this weekend. Anyone currently running those? Probably going with the BFG AT - right @ $200 a tire.

I'm in the same boat as you. Will you need spacers at that size?

I already got spidertrax spacers on but I believe you will have to have them to avoid rubbing.
