Default Skid plate/underside damage pics

Ok so there is the eternal debate over how much and what kind of skid plates are needed on our JK. Let's see some some of that damage to our JKs so we can make our own decision based of our horror stories.

This looks almost identical to mine. Did you buy an aftermarket? Was there any damage to you gas tank?

you'll forgive me but, that's a "dent" on your factory skid plate and NOT "damage". after 5 years of hammering on my JK, i can assure you that mine looks a lot worse BUT, it's still doing its job of protecting my gas tank and far from what you would call "damaged". with the exception of a rancho oil pan skid (something that was never protected on the JK), i still run all factory skids and, until one actually fails, i see no reason to spend money replacing them with something heavier and more difficult to manage. but hey, that's just me.

As of now I am still factory skids with the exception or ARB diff covers. Yes it is a dent. I am still trying to decide my course of actions. I have been wheeling over 13 years in a variety place around the world (just 3 years in JKs). Although I do respect others advice I choose to make my decisions myself. Which is why I would like to see what others have dented or damaged. In 19 years of my line of work that careful analysis has kept me upright and breathing while those not so careful are now horizontal. Yes I know it's wheeling but, some of us like to be prepared for the unexpected. So let's see some of those pics. Thanks everybody.
