First and Foremost she should be paying for that. But secondly, I thing I am getting an Lod tire carrier for Christmas and you can just have mine if you pay for shipping. If you can wait that long, save this message and send me a pm around Christmas time with your address.

It will help substitute the cost of a new bumper with a tire carrier

But prop's to you for doing the right thing and being the good samaritan. Jeepers are definately the nicest people in the 4x4 world.

Michigan is a no fault state. You break it, there insurance company pays for it. Sucks when you get in an accident, but even more when you are paying our premiums.

Woolf is right. I have a $500 deductable so anything under that, I have to pay for whether it's my fault or not. Sucks, but I've had a couple rear-enders and so I couldn't get into her face too bad. She was driving a new Malibu and ran into a new Yukon and he ended up hitting me! Somehow my rear tire did the most damage to the Yukons' hood! I'm not sure how she got that Yukon to move into me!

I'm going to pick up Woolf's carrier in the next couple of days. He's local and he's giving me a good price! Thank you all for responding!

'Your' $500 deductible shouldn't have anything to do with it since it's not your insurance that should cover it... it should be the person that hit you that should have to cover it... That's been my experience... both from being rear ended and being the rear ender.

Exception: I think there are some states that 'share fault' in some cases... maybe rear enders.

Make sure to get your spare looked at. The damage may not be apparent but even the slightest deviation in the rim could cause you serious problems. Sounds like you and everyone else is alright, Props to you for your character.

I just wanted to say thanks again to WOOLF for the "special pricing" on his spare tire mount. I went and picked it up on Friday during my lunch hour and swapped it out today. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see his rig as it was still out in Vegas at SEMA.

Thanks to everyone else who offered their mounts up!
