Default Just a quick post to help out those on the fence.

I installed the Sprintex SC in my 2008 Jk last weekend. Drove over Government Pass then on to central Oregon form Vancovuer Wa. This is a trip I have made many times in my Jk. What a difference, it's freaking wonderful. Smooth application of power and quiet compared to other SC equiped JKs I have been in.

I am totally happy with this mod.

Fyi purchase price was $2995.00 :-)

There's a lot of us running sprintex now under the modified section there's a few threads... I've been running mine since the end of December and love it! It's a night and day difference driving my jeep now can't wait for summer to try it in the dirt and rocks!

X2. That's what I'm thinking. 35s, 4.10's, and Torque!

That is good to hear. Thanks for sharing! I've been comparing my driving experience / rpms on the road with all that I've been reading between gear changes and forced induction, and for me, it seems like the 3.8 just needs a little more power in the 1.5k to 2.2k rpm range on the road, and seems like it'd be good to go.

Do you have an auto? If so, does it downshift less?

I have a 6 spd but there are a few guys with autos they seem to like it. And yes that rpm range is where the sprintex shines!

In the days before the LS motor, it was very common to go to a drag strip and see ancient luxo barge V8s take win after win. Buicks and Oldsmobiles with dog dish hubcaps, peg leg 2.73 rears, and low revving 455 big blocks.

If you cant make torque, make torque.

Its so funny too about gears- RIPP SC advises you to purchase gears on top of thier system! Be wary of manufacturers who advise ANY kind of major, supplementary purchase like that!

I know! As soon as I found that out, it was a major turn off. Let me spend $5k on a SC, and then turn around drop another $1.5k to make it useful. If you've already done the gear change and looking for more power, I can understand. But, starting from a stock platform, that doesn't look good.
