Stinger or No
G'day fellas. I've been searching for a good project for my Jk and think I've finally settled on building a new bumper. I built one a few years back for my old Dodge Raider and think it's time to get back into it. Here we go.
So I started by taking off the stock bumper which is basically just a few plastic soda bottle bolted to the front of the frame. Then I took a load of measurements and started modeling things. (yeah, we engineering folks model everything).
After I had a good base to work from I built up a few main plates and features to give me a good idea of what I want to see. and ended up with this.
My favorite details about it is that it uses the stock fog lamps for now and the stock towhooks. I may end up with some better d-rings up front but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. My question to you guys is whether or not I should put this one it?
I don't wheel a whole lot as of yet (long story) but would like to get more into it again. What are your thoughts, stinger or no?

looks good maybe make the center part a little wider and the sides a little shorter IMO but yeah stinger is a way to go, looks like your rig is gonna be a rock crawler.

As per everyone's requests.
The only downside is that if I widen that center plate, it pushes the fog lamps out towards the mounts so I will have little clearance to actually install them. If I widen it any farther I'm going to have to move them to the center section.

I suggest you go wider with your stinger so it mounts around where the stock tow hooks are and have the "kickers" (supports for the stinger) about an inch away for the edge of the outside of the bumper. That way your tube work fills out your bumper better.
