Default Strange occurrence while going door-less for first time.

Took the doors off today, being it is in the 80's this week in the Seattle area. It is a busy week running kids everywhere, so thought we would do it in style.
I am not sure if it was just my perception, but other drivers were asses to me the whole time. Not letting me merge, cutting me off, not letting me go when it was my turn. What is up with that?
Wife says, "they are just jealous." Anyone else experience this from other drivers?
I got waves and thumbs up from other Jeeps, at least.

The other day I experienced the same type of disrespect. I just blew it off as another one of those days where the rest of the world is jealous of the jeep awesomeness!!!

The other drivers are just projecting their insecurities. Having your doors off shows your confidence since you are no longer wrapped up in the protective cage of the doors and roof. By extrapolation they assume you are a show off and douchebag, even if you're not. Therefore they treat you like one even though you did nothing to deserve it except enjoying your jeep they way it was intended.

In other words, Jeep Envy.

People are normally rude, unaware and in a hurry while driving. I think you are just way more aware of it when you're in the open. I know I am.

I just slow down, wave and enjoy my day. I drive my wife crazy. I'm never in a hurry and love to ride in the jeep. My wife wants to leave late, rush and complain. Savor the flavor brother. It's all good.

Usually people are uber cool to me when I'm in my jeep. I get loads of strangers striking up conversations over it all the time. So much my girl gets annoyed with it because she gets tired of hearing nothing but talk of jeeps.

Maybe she'll lighten up over it some once we get her one. Other than that I just drive like I normally do.

yep! Same phenomena as being on a motorcycle. They always drive like A-holes. You just notice it more when you are more vulnerable to their A-holeness.

I've never had any negativity towards me. A ton of people ask about the color though. Enjoy it, it's truly a joy driving doorless!
