Default Swapped 08 for 10 with a few minor upgrades.

Debated the pro's, con's and costs of upgrading my 3.21 geared '08 Soft top X vs just springing for a 2010...

Here is what I did.

Traded Base X model 2008 Manual.:

For:2010 Rubicon 6 speed

With:

I really liked the Jeep Green base model, but this Deep Water Blue is really growing on me. It took a while to locate and retreive a Rubicon with the 6 speed transmission, but I just didn't want to go with the auto.. The difference between the test driven auto and this one is just what I expected.

I already removed the rock rails and added steps that I bought from Joehm in Omaha (about an hour after leaving the dealership) Also installed a few items left over from my old JK. Tuffy underseat drawer, and K&N filter to name a couple. No serious mods planned yet, but hanging out with you folks, I know that will change.

This should pull our popup camper MUCH better than the old one.

Still debating that one. Kids need the steps today, hopefully not for long. Shipping might be a pain, pretty heavy.

Huge difference. Both had roughly the same size tire. With the 3.21 gears, I pretty much didn't have 6th gear at interstate speeds unless I was going downhill. The Rubicon actually still has power left in 6th gear.

Night and day difference.
