Default Tall skinny toyo mt installed today. Pics

Hey guys, I got my new tires today. They are 255 85 r16 toyo m/t. The drive home was great, sitting up higher and all. They only have a slight hum on the highway, but nothing bad. I have read that they measure 33.5 by 10.2, so I got my tape measure out and at ~35psi, I measure a little over that, maybe 33.7 or 8 so i will call them 34's since most 34's measure about the same. These toyos seem to run in size like interco's , they don't run small, they are right on if, not bigger than advertised. When I got home I gandered in awe. I said to myself, NOW it looks like a Jeep. So if your wandering what tall, skinny toyo's look like on. Jk, here are the pics. Enjoy.

Wife didn't give the ok for 5 tires right now, only 4. I have the sra as a spare "donut" tire. I may buy one later, we will see. Wife gave me a $1200 limit, and I was damn close to that with 4 tires, 1160 to be exact. I'm happy with what ive got though.

I had 33X9.50 ATs on my TJ and really liked the look. Nice looking JK. Just got my JK so probably will be a while for new tires.

What about all the cars that come from the factory with a tiny donut spare that is much smaller than stock tires, will they burn up their diffs? Or traction control go nuts? If I have to use it, it will be to get straight home only. Then I will take the flat wheel in a different car to the tire shop and get a new toyo. But yes, I used to own a 98 LR disco, and although it did well off road, the price of parts was devastating my bank account. I bought it with a blown head gasket for cheap, and took the heads off myself and had them resurfaced, and I replaced them with new thicker head gaskets. I got 2 quotes to do this, dealer wanted $3000, and a small shop wanted $2500. I told the dealer I could buy a new motor for that. He politely told me that a new LR 4.0 V8 cost around $9,000. I did it myself for $400. Never had another head problem after that. Alternator $400, power steering pump $200, I had enough and sold it. But it was good looking and fun.
