Default Trektop NX so sweet.

I have read a lot of posts with people complaining about the Trektop NX, particularly, the install.

Mine arrived at 11 AM today and by 12:15, it was on and fits like a glove. It took about 30 minutes in the 80* sun today to get it all shifted/adjusted right, but all zippers are buttoned up and she is nice and snug. If you've been on the fence about this product, don't be. I really don't understand the issues I've seen with the install. Instructions are straight forward and if you ever had a Jeep soft top before (CJ, YJ, TJ or JK) you will pretty much be able to look at the parts and assemble with no issues.

I also ordered from 4WD.com, who had some real mixed reviews in the past. Dealt with Bustabiz....ordered Thursday morning at the best price I could find shipped. The top was on a UPS truck Friday and here today. I'd definitely use them again.

If you're looking for a soft top, this thing is the tits. Cheaper than an OEM replacement or a Supertop and extremely versatile with all the different configurations it does.

And I know you all want pics....

This one is the new OEM style tailgate bar. Seems pretty good to me, but then I'll be running this as a safari top 95% of the time, so that bar is really a moot point for me. If it's not stormy weather, windows and doors are off. Hard top back on for Winter. If you tend to run the whole top buttoned up a lot, I could see the tailgate access being a PITA, but then it kind of is a PITA on all soft tops. That was the only thing that annoyed me about my TJ factory top also.

I love my Trektop, would recommend it to anyone. I warmed the top in the house and installed in the garage with no issues, so I don't understand why so many people have trouble getting it installed. Maybe I got lucky, I don't know.

I completely agree. The first install was a bit tough but nothing too hard. I definitely appreciate it snug fit. The rear bar doesn't give me any problems either to remove and replace. Maybe some of the other people with problems have spaghetti arms or something.

Thank you. That's all I needed to read.
I'm definitely ordering one now.
Been trying to decide for a week now,
And I don't want to put the Hardtop back on

I agree with the OP. I cannot understand the difficulty other folks have experienced in the install, fit , finish of this top . This was a 1 hour install project for me as well.

I installed mine with 60 degree weather. I laid the top out inside, pissed the wife off cause I cranked the heat to 80 for a couple hours and the top went on fine.
