Viair 400P base plate fix.
After going to air back up after Truckhaven for the drive home on New Year's Day, I was disconcerted to find that the little rubber stoppers that attach the base plate to the actual compressor had torn off, leaving the compressor with no base to stand on.
I initiated a fix today for about $0.97. I picked up four 5/16" hex bolts and nuts to reattach the base plate back to the actual compressor. I was very pleased with the results, and this shouldn't happen again anytime soon. I don't even know how those rubber stoppers cut loose in the first place (probably from wedging the compressor between my subwoofer and the passenger seat
). Oh well. Here go the pictures!
