What was done to your JK this week?
Nice rig. Are the boom mats easy to install?
Was thinking of getting a AEV hood and saw that Jeep sell a similar one to the AEV, except that there's no vent (option on the MW3 in Canada). So went to Jeep and looked at the prices:
o picture 2: MW3 Wrangler hood is 800$ in the US and 2000$ in Canada (at jeep dealer)!!!!!
o picture 1: AEV Wrangler hood is about 800$ in US and 1000$ in Canada.
The prices at the dealer are ridiculous, and at 2000$ the painting and shipping (from the US) is not include. Also the MW3 hood doesn't have the top and side vents.

SUPER EASY just wipe down the roof with alcohol first, I'm in Idaho now and its around 100 degrees and the AC is only on 1/2. I'm 6'4 and my head sits near the top, when it was hot I could feel it now it blocks heat really well as well as wind noise its definently quieter inside.
Is it worth $200-$250 maybe depends on your needs for me it made a HUGE difference in temps and noise so I'm happy I wish it came with the sides like the other company.
Pros
Great quality, precision cut, adhesive, quiet, reduces temps a lot from topside, looks better than a big white inside roof (more factory).
Cons
Stinks (only for a couple days), no side pieces for around side windows, pricey
Note: as far as stinks yes all materials that I'm aware like this foam smell bad at first but air out and usually takes a day or 2, mine you don't notice the smell anymore its been 5 days and smells great now.
Yes it works and works well, it is a huge upgrade for comfort with heat and noise. I'm a performance and build kind of person so doing a creature comfort item for me is hard to make happen sell but glad I did.

Thanks! I'm 6'2" so I can kind of relate. I hit my head a lot now...glad I'm not 6'4". LOL. It's been very hot and humid in PA too and with your comments I think I will invest....more so for the heat reduction and especially....looks. I hate the all white top. Thanks for the reply. Take care.
Playing with wheels and tires. Took the stock Sahara wheels and tires off

and added ProComp 7069 16X8 with BF Goodrich ATs 285/75/16.

Way too heavy, so I swapped with ProComp 7069 17X9 with stock rubi tires.

Much happier, handles much better for the 95% of the time I will be on the road.
