Installed a trektop today. Got it free from patricks99. Thanks sooooo much. I don't think my jeep will be leaking much anymore.

The prices at the dealer are ridiculous, and at 2000$ the painting and shipping (from the US) is not include. Also the MW3 hood doesn't have the top and side vents.
ugh, would love to be able to afford an AEV hood!! those things are sweeeeeet

Is it worth $200-$250 maybe depends on your needs for me it made a HUGE difference in temps and noise so I'm happy I wish it came with the sides like the other company.

Pros
Great quality, precision cut, adhesive, quiet, reduces temps a lot from topside, looks better than a big white inside roof (more factory).

Cons
Stinks (only for a couple days), no side pieces for around side windows, pricey
Note: as far as stinks yes all materials that I'm aware like this foam smell bad at first but air out and usually takes a day or 2, mine you don't notice the smell anymore its been 5 days and smells great now.

Yes it works and works well, it is a huge upgrade for comfort with heat and noise. I'm a performance and build kind of person so doing a creature comfort item for me is hard to make happen sell but glad I did.
I did the same thing with mine but used some indoor/outdoor carpet and some 3M glue. It was night and day difference. The carpet looked like speaker box carpet and color matched perfect to the grey seats.

That one from jeep looks like it has the top vent. Is it just painted black or what?

Putting our earlier issues aside... I would go with the true AEV hood. The "power bulge" really is aesthetic and doesnt provide any good functionality other than holding in water in the winter to freeze, which you would either need to chip out and risk chipping the paint or hope it doesnt slide up and hit the windshield while driving. The AEV techs swear their hood really helps with heat too, which is good for those times you are up wheeling. The vent on the side is primed for a snorkel, but it sadly doesnt work with the 2012, but will work on any previous.

Nope, its a solid hood with absolutely no vents. Not even a fake vent.
