It's a 20-25 minute install too and that's taking it easy....

Long story short:
- Upgraded bulbs in stock housing = suck
- HID units in stock housing = suck. You really need to have a projector to use HID's at their best.
- Rebel Offroad apparently has a real nice HID kit, it's pretty bright, and seems to do well in the stock reflector headlamp housing, only thing is it's not DOT approved
- TruckLite LED's = pretty damn good but not as bright as JLS but they also cost half as much
- JL Speaker's = top of the line if you've got the loot

I just installed the TL's. Didn't even bother with harness upgrade to address the flicker. Barely noticeable on low but more apparent when using high beams but I barely use my high beams anyway and if i needed the extra light with no flicker, I'll just turn on my Rigid Dually's or 10" bar.

For the price, it's definitely worth it and I'm glad some of the other guys steered me to just go ahead and install them even without the no-flicker harness. You won't regret it. Just eat more ramen for the next couple of months
I didn't do the "flicker harness" either..... I can deal with the SLIGHT flicker, and same here, I never use high beams, I just turn on the led bar

I'm thinking about adding these though to protect them. Small cost of insurance and they work. 1 small pebble at the wrong time and that could be a pretty pricey replacement.

xpel headlight protection = $46

Changed the oil, oil filter, and air filter. I'll be making the front bumper a stubby one on Saturday.

Changed the oil and filter also. And I took the 4 inch rough country lift off and installed a 2.5 BB. Much better ride and my 35s don't look too small anymore!

What are you going to do with the 4" lift?

We use it all the time on euro & japanese imports front housings since the housings just by themselves can run you $400 easy for the pair. Never had any problem. It's basically the same kind of film you use to protect your cell phone screens which are still translucent.

Thought of an idea. I plasti dip the headlight housing that is aluminum. You can't really notice a difference but it came clean and slick. Here's a pic.

I also installed my skyjacker dual stabilizer kit. I bought the kit on eBay for $60 and it was an open box. Everything is brand new. I couldn't pass up the deal. I have stock suspension for right now. I have noticed a huge improvement after installing it
