What was done to your JK this week?
Not everyone is that anal.....I think he's just trying to say that while there is a section here for the YJ's (though it's grouped with TJ's) that on the whole it's a JK forum more/ less.
I don't care what people drive as long as they enjoy it. Come on with the fj's on the jkf!

That's one hell of a carrier u built. My only thought is that now the frame and the body will NOT flex independently. While its stout as hell, I can see shredding the sheet metal where the body mounts are first.
Looks bad ass anyway. Awesome fab job!

thanks...install couldn't be easier b/c I already had the hood. The only "hard" thing was that AEV wants you to use supplied rivets to secure the snorkel into the factory airbox (after drilling out the factory rivets). They don't say you need a rivet tool in the instructions but I have no earthly idea how one installs rivets without. I found some short OEM screws from another vehicle that had a coarse pattern and used those instead. Not as "permanent" as the AEV method but should to until I can get a proper rivet gun.
I wonder if there's any performance benefit to the ram air scoop, vs. the bowl. I think it sounds better than the stock box....you can some intake howl from the bowl which is nice. I used to have a Banks Power airbox and stock exhaust and that sounded great. Swapping on a Banks exhaust, it was too much cacophony (and I wanted the snorkel, when released for the '12) so I put the stock box back on.
