Suggest running ribbon or thicker braided ground wire to the tub or frame and not the tailgate. Hinges do not conduct well.

thanks, I always appreciate the insights. I will do that, have some cable perfect for that in the garage. Just waiting for my firestik fs-3r to be shipped.

Arb air compressor install... just have to figure out how to seal the holes to protect wires... suggestions appreciated and welcome...

That's a lot of wiring left exposed to the elements. Suggestion would be to move it someplace protected from the outside!

Exactly why I was looking for suggestions on covering the hole trying not to have to drill or cut to get the fuse inside the vents

I'm not sure what hole you are trying to cover? The whole tire carrier is exposed. Why not mount it under the hood or do what I did


Mounted in the spare cubby in the back. Used the mounting plate it came with and attached it through the tub. Works great

I plan on using that space for another project as i did look at that space andunder rear seat and meaning the open space in the carrier but I might end up placing in the vents just cutting a few out and putting all in there... just wanted outside the cabin... but not engine bay...
