I don't think this is normal, I had a '12 and I now have a '14, had the hard top of multiple times and no issue putting the hard top back on with the freedom panels ever. I have to call bs on the dealer.

Sorry I don't have the solution to your problem but when you spend $40000 on a vehicle the dealer should.

Someone suggested pictures, that would be helpful

No it's not normal, post some picks. It might be someone simple but it is not normal. The JK's are gears more towards an everyday vehicle so the idea that "it's a jeep so sometimes it doesn't line up" isn't true anymore.

Just glad I got my JK Line-X'ed again. Here is the first hail storm I've had since I got it done. Zero dents or damage and all the other vehicles around it had some.

Did you place the top back on in the correct order? Back section first and make sure the pins align. Screw in the bolts snug but not too tight. Position the front passenger side, last the driver side. The front sections have a fold down tab to use without the back section in bikini mode. Make sure the tabs are up/ flush when using with the rear section. Then rotate the cams, last close the front clamps to the windshield. Final are the screws, again snug but not tight.

Next run topless and doorless (naked).

Default Rock rails and Differential fluid change

I picked up some Rubicon rock rails on craigslist to install on my 2009 Sport X for cosmetic purposes this weekend.

This is after they were installed. I think it makes a huge difference in how the jeep looks. It was not much cost since I got them on craigslist. I would recomend this for anyone. You can also get these from the dealership as they are OEM parts but if you do plan to spend around 500-600 dollars.

I swap tops for summer and winter every year never had an issue with it you must have put it on wrong. Check it and re do. Pics would be nice to see where they are misaligned, by the way dealers could be such morons specially sales department they will tell you anything.

Find someone that can weld and you can turn those into some really good rock sliders. They won't be "cosmetic" anymore!
