Damn, that's a sweet looking ride!!

 

Shutterbug, I got the cheap Daystar D ring rubbers, but the hook is now against the black textured coating on the steel. Do I just need to accept that there will be rusty spots on the bumper?

Also, any ideas in how to do driveway touch up on the bumper after a rust spot or gouge is observed? It's going to get used a bit of road, so I know it's going to need to be touched up occasionally. It's a Smittybilt textured black, I would say it's a semi gloss textured finish. It's not flat, I'm sure of that.

 

You and I, living in rust belt zones, are going to have to deal with some of the rust issues.

If you keep the hook tight, it won't bang around too much. Of course, another option would be a Factor 55 instead of the hook.

For me, I've used a little POR-15 on the rusty spots to stop the rust, and then some flat black textured paint (rustoleum) should help.

Hows are the sound bar speakers and the sub?

 

Big improvement over stock. Needed the sub to round out the sound though. It's won't rattle the neighbors' windows, but I get full, clean tone with or without the top.
