What was done to your JK this week?
Pentastar uses cam shaft for timing. It's a modern design with direct bolt on accessories (no mounts); integrated into block exhaust headers; oil filter is like a tea bag with no metal housing, with Fiat parent- Ferrari and Maserati have 400HP turbo versions.

Posting on behalf of a Jeeper in NY whose JK is crazy with mods.. Heres a preview of his custom vinyl wrap project .. He also got the new Alpine system, rear and front cams, custom seats, OLB fogs, HLs and Windshield spots..
3.3/ 3.8 pushrod V6 designed for minivans and used in LH/ Pacifica/ VW Routan. This pushrod V6 replaced the Mitsubishi sourced back in the 90's. It's a +25 year old design. The 3.8 last used in the JK is the end of this line.

Has always cracked me up how the 3.8 got labeled a mini van engine as if that's all it was ever used in. Anyways...proceed..
