What was done to your JK this week?
I can take some better pictures. I tried to research for almost a week but there is really no template to follow, need to measure the parts that show, and eyeball what doesn't to make it fit.
I removed it, chopped the ends based on how much I wanted (worked backwards from end of jeep to where the bumper jets out - about 4.5 inches) and put those aside. cut about 4 inches from the same part where the bumper jets out so I had .5 room to slide cap over. Bumper jetting out is the 2 parts on each side below of the tire.
That would have been enough but of course the ends are tapered, so I had to taper the bumper the same and clean up the back a bit.
I have zero tools and borrowed a sawzall but it moved a little fast for my skill level lol. So I more or less used that for the cuts that were big or hidden, and then used a hand hacksaw for the end caps so they would be a little more polished. They fit on nice, but I am going to sand the edges a little more, than plastic epoxy them on bumper, then drill holes and black push plugs - trying to make them similar in style to the vdps on the front. with all of the things you can buy for the jeep, no one came up with end caps for rear bumper?????????? MIND BLOWN
