What was done to your JK this week?
X100 Awsome mod I really love the color of the dash green.
Is there any writeup of how to remove the cover and paint the inside of the dash cluster somewhere?

I got my hands on some touch up paint and had some fun. Did a second new and improved "grill mod" and accented the dash with some Rescue Green! I love the ideas I get from this forum.
Everyone likes pics. I am really hate to see all that salt on her but it was -12 C today so a bath was out of the question for the pic. Winter will soon be over

To remove them you have to:
1 Remove the top cover by lifting from the forward edge
2 Remove the bottom cover plate by gently prying off
3 Remove all the screws you can see.
4 Remove the vents by rotating and pulling out.
5 Carefully pull out on the surrounding trim to release the tabs.
6 Unlock and unplug the power window connecter for a little more access.
7 Remove the four screws holding the center consol and rotate it up and aft to gain access to the very bottom 2 remaining screws holding the trim panels on. These are a pain, best way I found to get them was with a simple open end wrench. Needless to say they were NOT reinstalled!
Paint and reverse to reinstall. I like the look
Wasn't too bad
1 Start with the very bottom panel under your steering wheel, remove it by just pulling it off.
2 Next panel up same thing!
3 The surrounding cluster panel is next, can't remember if there were screws but you will see when you get that far.
4 This will expose the four screws holding the cluster, remove them and unplug 3 x connectors.
5 release the clear cluster cover, easy to see it when its out in your hands.
6 Next is the trim piece your going to paint, removal is the same as the clear cover. Careful of the gauge needles.
Paint and reverse the process. This mod is probly only a 2 on the scale to ten in difficulty. Have fun.

The paint was a small can of touch up paint I got from the dealer. No priming / sanding required. Just shot it with some colour
