What was done to your JK this week?

Default Axe mount

Mounted an axe. Pieced together my own bracket mounting system (using parts from ebay or amazon) for a fraction of the price of other complete brackets from other vendors. Will do the driver side next and mount a shovel. Maybe its true that Ill use the axe only once a year, if that, but hey...why not, its a Jeep!

Looks good. Clean setup. How do you like that roof rack? Been looking at them....trying to decide. Cant stomach the price and wait time on a Gobi. Want one to haul a kayak......

socal73, thanx for the compliment. The Barricade roof rack is great and very nicely priced opposed to some other racks on the market. It serves its purpose very well and it matches the look/theme of the rest of my Jeep. My main intension of the rack is to use it with my Smittybilt RTT (Roof Top Tent) and it does this perfectly. As you can see in the photos I have mine mounted to the body of the Jeep and have zero issues when the tent is loaded up with 460lbs worth of sleeping bodies (myself and my 2 kids). With a discount code for EXTREME TERRAIN I found online you can get this rack down in price even more.

Bed lined my interior, and had my front axle swapped out with a trussed/gusseted axle. 4.10 gears put along with Detroit TrueTrac up front. Busy week, though technically this was last week. Did not snap a photo of the axle, not much to see and I did not want to crawl under to take a photo.

CzechMate-

I've got that same rack ready to go on, do you have any other pics of the distance between the rack and the body just above the mount? I'm not up for the body mount and the frame mount won't clear my bumper so I'm looking for options before I begin installation. If it doesn't look like it'll come together then she'll go to CL for someone else to use.

Love the rack, nut I'm too paranoid to give away a free axe for someone to use on my windows.
