I ordered a 24s package i WAS effected by this change. My jeep did NOT come with fogs and hooks standard. I had to order them seperate. Some people are saying the 24s is not effect, i was....

btw, im in d-1 and got a est delivery of 9-27. the lady said these dates are usally not very acurate. about how off are they?

 

If anyone has not noticed yet, the Jeep website now allow for building a 2008 wrangler unlimited. It even poses more problems! The 23S package has no fog and hook. There are 2 options now, one for fogs and one for hooks. After choosing a manual transmission and the 23S package, it allows you to add the fogs, but does not allow the hooks unless you move to the 3.78(?) rear end AND the auto transmission. Go figure. Goes against what the jeep rep told my dealer. Could there be somewhat of a constraint on certain parts that would affect these choices? I'm confused and still can't get the order placed.

My dealer said in his computer ordering system, if you add the fogs, it states " you must add the hooks to get this option". YOU CAN"T ADD THE HOOKS unless you change the whole thing to an automatic!

We're back at square one - no order. I told the wife "If this keeps up one more day, I'm ordering a Shrockwork's mid bumper with all the trimmings". (Think that will work?)

 

Same here 24s and had to order hooks and lights. I guess i'll be selling some extra parts on E-bay.
As far as dates on 9-13th I was told i was "F", I then asked for a delivery date she then gave me the date of 9-13

 

You can now order fogs and hooks with new 08 wrangler unlimited X orders with the 23S package. The dealer just confirmed (and sent me a copy of my order) that Jeep has fixed their dealer computer ordering system. It will be fixed shortly on the Jeep website also.

Cool... I was hoping it was just a glitch. It just didn't make sense that tow hooks could not be ordered for a 6spd. Thanks for the info! And congratulations!

hmmm. Now when i go to the jeep site and build my own, i am unable to add the 17" wheels. only the 16" with the s package. However, when i go to models and colors, u are able to put the rubi tires on the X.... did i order too soon lol

 

Kuba needs to talk to his dealer. The fog and hooks are now shown on the website as a must order. It does have a charge next to the items. Jeeps order system has been so screwed up over the last 2 months, that lots here were getting inconsistent builds. One guy had a sticker showing the fogs and hooks, and the jeep didn't have them! It seems to be straightened out as of today. The website still has inconsistencies.

 

saw my jeep at the dealer... no fogs and no tow hooks.

pick her up tomorrow at 9! hopefully my shrockworks stubby will get here soon after!

I couldn't stand it when I had a message on my phone that it came in so I drove down and inspected it tonight...it's got everything I ordered on it. I'm going to have them reprogram the alarm on the lock so the horn doesn't go off when I lock the doors...I'm not an idiot...they already have the lights flash........geez!!
First major project other than Rhino the inside is a roof rack and rocker guards. I'll also be doing the swing door mod. with the hyd. arm.

Pick up scheduled date: 10/5/2007 I already plan on sleeping in it the first night!! Then I have to get back to fishing on Saturday!
