ok so I have an 08 x on order. I found out that the 3.73's would require I guess a new carrier to run the 4.88's or 5.13's Thus making the trac loc or rear locker useless. The only way to get the lockers and beable to upgrade is with a rubi, since it has the 4.10's I"m really disapointed right now. I thinking about scraping my order to find an 07 with 4.10's or just sack up an order a base rubi, which is way more then I wanted to spend on a jeep. Since I wanted to mod it myself...

Just get it and whenever you go to a lower gear, get a locker too.........

ya, locker like ox is like 900 bucks pluss 109 for the cable, then 280 for gears. I"m gonna see if I can get an 07 with 4.10's or a stock rubi with out all the usless features. IF not, I guess I will cancal the trac loc since I'll be replacing the gears and it wont work with them.

What's the tow rating with the 3.73?

JK Dana 44 3.21 3.73 & 4.10 use the same carrier. The 4.10 is a thick gear. So the aftermarket 4.88 and 5.13 was also be a thick gear to fit stock carrier.

ok, so then if you order the stock locker and have 3.21 or 3.73's then you can buy the upgraded 4.88's or 5.13's and they will fit no problem?
