Default '08 worth the wait?

I ordered a 2007, but just like many people in here the order was bumped to an 08... I'm getting a little impatient and am thinking about canceling my order and going to another dealer in a different state... thoughts?

I wanted to order, but after watching other's pains with long waits, I went in to the dealer and had them search for one I wanted. With luck I found a black Half door unlimited X with not many more options than the S package. Couldnt get it below MSRP though. THey had to trade with one dealer to get a car the dealership in PA wanted to trade for my car.

Don't wait. It drove me crazy to wait for a month. I went to another dealer and got an 07 LAST NIGHT!!! Summer will be here and gone before you know it.

The 08's will have an optional rear locker and front electronic sway bar disconnect for non-rubicon models, and you can get Detonator Yellow. That's about it.

and don't forget that on the 08's, you can no longer get 4.10 gears on non-Rubicon models.

Arizona has alot of Jk's two and four door and rubicons without the mark up. Go to jeep.com and do an inventory search.

Wow, that's disappointing, but I like that you can get a locker and the swaybar discos on non-Rubi models. Does seem a little strange though.

What are you saying? Are you going to cancel your order then go to another dealer in another state to place another order, or to purchase a JK off the lot?

Your 2007 converted order will have priority build status as a 2008. Meaning it will be scheduled and built before new 2008 orders. So cancelling the old order and ordering from another dealer will make for a longer wait.

Buying one off the lot is quicker, but you probably will pay alot more for it, and you may not find one equipped exactly like you want.

As posted already, an '08 will have only incremental updates... and here's the bigger picture: Are you REALLY willing to go JK-less through the whole Summer waiting for an '08 to be built?
