Just curious, but how could you possibly know?

I know, I know, the start date for production is wrong. But they goofed it up twice, I think it's a typo.

Jeep and/or the dealerships will hold out on all that info for as long as possible to sell as many 08's as possible. But it's fun to speculate.

I think the disclaimer at the bottom of that page deserves a glance:

If the Wrangler was getting a diesel engine in the next 4 months, trust me it would be out of the bag by now. They have to do some tooling at the plant for that and they have to make sure everyone is trained for it. It would be out of the bag by now.

Actually I disagree with the above statement... Nobody knows except hi ranking executives and engineers. We all know that they will be re-tooling the plant in July (when they close for 2 weeks), who knows what will come out. I do agree that a new engine is unlikely, but it is possible. With gas prices so high, I am sure there are new, more efficient engines in the work...

Trust the advance info on WKJeeps.com, it's very accurate (launch date typo was corrected). Hill Start Assist is available on 2008 models of the Ram, Commander, Grand Cherokee and Liberty. For the 2009 model year it will be standard on all Wrangler models. Here is the corporate description:

Hill Start Assist:

Assists the driver when starting a vehicle from a stop on a hill by maintaining the same level of brake pressure the driver applied for a short period of time after the foot has been removed from the brake pedal. The system will release the brake pedal in proportion to the amount of throttle applied. If the throttle is not applied within a short period of time after the foot has been removed from the brake pedal, Hill Start Assist will release brake pressure.

I'm curious about this. For the color options for '09 they list 2 different silvers (Bright SIlver and Silver Metallic, and a new blue). I thought it had been confirmed that one of the new colors was going to be orange.
