I have friends who have ordered a 2008 Rubicon. Initial delivery date was suppose to be mid August or early September. Dealership recently relayed that new estimated delivery time was mid November to early December. Supposedly all Rubicon production was being held up for some reason. Anyone have any idea what is causing this delay?

for my rubicon right now it is the mygig but i am sure that will not be the only hold up

I too have heard from a sales manager a couple days ago that mygig is slowing things down, but that has always been the case. My local dealership has 3 or 4 08's on the lot but no rubis.

i dont think ive ever seen a rubi at either one of the local dealers.

I ordered a 4dr Rubi in July and was told to expect it in Nov or Dec based on the dealer's allocation and order that were ahead of me through that dealer.

Jeep is making the two doors one month and four doors the next. Your Dealers allocation and sales history is also great factor in when they are getting Jeeps that were ordered. The four doors are scheduled to be built in Sept, and Nov. I also heard the Freedom Hardtops were also causing scheduling issues, along with the Rubicon's (Lockers and disconnects).
I ordered my Rubicon in June, it is in BG status now (passed order stage but waiting buid date on Dealer allocation). Am being told Sept but probably Dec.

I heard there were issues getting parts for the axels or the axels themselves.
But i just noticed my front axel is leaking again. I already had the seals replaced once.

Man, I'm glad I didn't wait for my original order that I placed in late April. I'd probably still be waiting.
