The 12 auto was a lot nicer drive than the 11 (or my 08).

The interior upgrade was from 10 to 11. The 11 to 12 updage was motor and auto tranny.

I really like the 12. I just can work the numbers to a new jku with my mods. It looks like a MDS 5.7 for me...

Sooo...this is basically a "rip the 2012" thread?
Like it or not, the 3.6 is here.....and for some people, every little bit of fuel economy matters.

Why not just give a thumbs up to all of the new Wrangler owners?

You got a dealership to lose over $5000 to give you a JK? Was it a going out of buisiness sale? Congrats

I want to know who is going to be the 1st to market with a turbo kit for the Penta motor?? Hmmmmm smaller quick spooling turbo, about 8-10 psi, you get all the grunt of a Hemi with the economy of a V6. Plus the guys at elevation don't lose all their horsepower.

I already feel bad for the people who were oh so excited to get their pentastars. But maybe this time Juan and Miguel are better trained and more properly motivated by the cartel wars, so pentastars will probably be just fine.
While I am not certain that the Mexican labor that may build Pentastars is any worse than the fine UAW workers here in Michigan who build 'em, I can say that my sticker said the engine was produced in the US and the tranny in DE (Germany for the abbreviationally challenged). Maybe Juan and Miguel don't drink on their union breaks - who knows.

You get 15-18 MPG, 0-60 mph in 20 seconds, 12" of clearance, seating for 4 (maybe), 3,000 lb towing and voice activated wife, just ask her to read the map - thats what ya get in a Wrangler.

I test drove a 2012 Sahara Unlimited with a manual transmission today.

Keep in mind that I have nothing to compare it to as I've not driven another JK, but the engine was more than adequate. I test drove it with about 850 lbs of people in it including me (every seat had a butt in it). Off the line it wasn't too impressive if you were starting just above idle, but it pulled well throughout the middle and upper rpm range. It's peppier than my Suburban anyway.

I didn't think to look what gears it had, I assume it did not have 4.10's.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a Rubicon this fall.

72 months at 5.25 was like 4000 total in interest fees, and at 0% well its 0!

Im happy!
Damn, with those kind of savings it's a no brainer to pick up an '11. No one in Texas is really dealing like that on the '11s yet and I suspect they won't ever as well as they sell here. My CU is offering me 2.9 interest on a 60 month note, so with that and the TL discount I'm happy enough.
