I just bought my 2012 JKUS and it already has a leak on the hardtop! I just want to vent. I still love my Jeep but damn really!?

Where is the leak coming from?

Yes brand new. Just hit 1000 miles. It leaks between the freedom top on the front. Like it drips on my stereo. I put the passenger top on first then the driver. Is that right?

I'll check the rubber. It might be that? But san antonio is finally getting cooler weather so I might remove them. Not sure yet.

are all mulfunction hard top leaks coming from the same spot?

I want to know the locations so that i know where to look for when it rains. thx

Thanks FireTrail. Please do. How did u get the recall letter in the first place?

My leak is right above my stereo. I didn't find out until the day after it rained when I braked on a decline. It just like dropped 8 drops. I hope all that stuff us water proof. I hear the steering wheel controls aren't.

Same issue here with my 2012. Had this happen on my 2008 as well though. Usually seems to happen if the bolts at the sound bar are over tightened. Try loosening the sound bar bolts and the leak should stop.
