Just got our 3 and final email from Jeep!!! Jeep is in shipping and right on time like they told me more than a week ago. I hope they are on time with their 03-18-2012 delivery date at the dealer.

That will make it exactly 7 weeks from order to delivery on a 2 door Rubicon with auto and soft top and a few other goodies.

Update:

Dealer called me today and told me my Jeep is scheduled for delivery tomorrow evening after close. My sales guys is off Saturday. So, I went in today and took care of all the paperwork and one of his coworkers will deliver it to me. He said if it shows up earlier tomorrow, they'll call me to get it tomorrow. Can't wait!

I spoke with my dealer today. He spoke with his contact at Jeep. She told him that my order will update next week and that it should be in paint by next Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed. I wonder what the shipping time to the New Orleans area is?

You guys are lucky.
I ordered on Jan. 25, 2012 and I am still just D status. I guess that's because I'm in Canada.
I wish there was a tracking system in Canada like VOTS, all I can do is call my dealer up and ask him.
If anyone's curious I ordered:
JKUR - Bright White
6-spd manual
max tow
duel top
connectivity
Heated Seats
430n

Me too!
Seriously...I'm driving a rusty Tracker with no exhaust, in need of new hubs with extremely bald tires. Did I mention it leaks oil and gets a documented 12 mpg too.
I refuse to sink any money into the Tracker, I won't even sell it to someone else because I wouldn't want them to have to deal with all it's problems.
The Tracker was always supposed to be a temporary vehicle.

It is pretty silly how everything you hear can be both confirmed and denied by what others are dealing with. I no longer believe the "just in time" manufacturing is the case. They do seem to lump together similar orders. Perhaps it saves them time with the high demand, but for anyone ordering, I'd plan on 3 months and feel lucky if it arrived in 6-8 weeks. My order will be 11-1/2 weeks.

But I'll say it again... ignore VOTS. She is a total tease. You'll be scheduled for production until a day before you ship. By then, you'll already have a delivery date. Your second e-mail should indicate you'll be shipped about 2 weeks later.

I'm now having Northridge put in my suspension, front drive shaft, and aFe y-pipe exhaust. They are terrific and giving me a great deal on the install. This gives me some leeway to get all my other stuff done (bumpers, tire carrier, winch, lights, air, etc. the weekend of the 17th) and should help me turn everything around within 3 days. Fingers crossed. But I plan to pick my new Jeep up on the 16th and be ready to hit any trails by the time I leave Northridge on the 19th.

Of course, being ABLE to hit the trails and then finding additional time to do so shortly thereafter will be problematic to my wife and kid after all this, but at least I can take solace in the fact that so long as Armageddon doesn't happen before the 19th, I should be able to enjoy the new Jeep after the 19th.
