I wish I could have gotten a rubi! But with all the negative equatie it was best to get the sport. However, with me driving like a madman everywhere I go treating it as if I was driving a corvette I'm averaging 17.2 MPG I feel like a made a good choice

 

we traded our grand Cherokee in on our 2012 rubicon and could not be happier .it is my wife's daily driver and she is happy .I already put a LoD bumper and winch on it ,now I just got to get the leveling kit on it and she will be happy.

 

Engine aside, why was it a big improvement? The redesigned interior? I ask because I traded my 07 for an 11 and am disappointed that the 12 got the new engine otherwise it's the same as the 11. So I guess my ? Is if nothing else changed from your 08 and it was exactly the same just new engine would you feel just as pleased? Or is it more the whole package?

 

I'm wondering if my 11 is the same as the 12 except the engine, would it be worth trading up just for the engine?

 

The auto transmission changed as well, to a 5 speed. the manual 6 speed is the same. Otherwise it is the same. I can't comment first hand as I didn't have an '11, but from what I've been reading, many people love the 3.6 over the 3.8.

 

My 2010 Unlimited Mountain Rocks! Wont trade it in for ever.....Gonna pay it off , Keep it and buy a new pick up. Just saying.

 

Night and day difference between the 3.8 and the 3.6 . Bought myself a loaded Sport S in Bright Silver. Just waiting for her to be built...

 

As nice as it would be to have a 2012 and get in 4 door and Rubi trim, I just cant justify starting all over, like bumper, tire carrier, wheels and tires, lift and just all those awesome memories. So I think I will keep my 09 for a long while.

 

The manual is the same transmission but from what I understand they changed the 6th gear. The old 6th gear was .84 gearing... the new 6th gear is .797

Gives you better highway capability

 

For me its about performance, engine and trans. However the interior is a little nicer.
