I have a VON number for my order but when I call they have no info (only ordered it on Tuesday.) Is there a website I can plug in the VON number or just phone?

SDBaja found such a dealership in San Diego and that opened the gates for others on this site.
Mine is giving me 1% + another 1% also.

Look at it this way...they are making really sure all the adhesives and paint are dry

Well getting them to agree to 2% under invoice was extremely easy.

One odd thing though, the auto trans was quoted to me at 1125 msrp and the 4.10 gears at 50.

Don't know about the trans but I thought the gears were part of the tow package. I mean $50 out of $38000 is nothing, but still..

4.10 is included with manual on Rubicon, but it is an extra $50 fit the auto on orders placed 7/7 or later

Still looks like a brick. Only gets 21 mpg. With the new CAFE standards, this may be the last wrangler to look lile this.

How are you guys getting 2% below? What's the coversation like? I've always had a hard time getting a dealer to give a good price break. I have a control# that will get me 1% but how do I get the additional 1%?

I see my conversation going like this.

"How about an additional 1% Mr. Dealer. I've seen a lot of dealers giving my buddies on the jk-forum another 1%. How about doing me the same favor?"

Dealer would say "Were not making any money on it as it is. Were already giving you 1% below invoice. Were not going any lower".

Then I'm at a loss as to what to say next except that I will just keep shopping because someone will do it.

Part of my issue is I have a trade and I need to get as much for it as I possibly can so I don't have negative equity. I think the dealers will either do one of two things.

1. Give you more for your trade

2. Give you a lower price

They do their best not to do both.
