From what I have read about the CRD diesel, I think I will pass. Not to mention diesel fuel prices are still through the roof

^^ x2. It's not like the old days when diesel was less expensive. My buddies with VW diesels are pretty bitter these days. . .

In Washington diesel costs the same as gas and if I can improve fuel economy by 30-40%, diesel is a way better deal

Yeah... Here it's typically been about .15 -.20c more, depending where you are.

Whats the advantage of a diesel right now? Where I live gas is like $.70 more for diesel. It better get a lot better mileage and have a ton more power or I just don't see how its worth the money.

Wow... In Chicago we are paying about 50 CENTS more for gas than diesel.
