I was just wondering if anyone knows if we can program a replacement transponder key in the 2014 JK's?

I've seen the write ups on how to do it, but they are all earlier models, I can't seem to find it in my manual.

I programmed two new keys on my 2010. When I did it you had to have two functioning keys in order to program more keys.

 

I do it at work with a computer. I'll inquire if there is another way. But I believe the newer JKs wont let you just dupe keys.

 

Are you looking in the full Owner's Manual, or the User Guide that came with the Jeep? Directions for self-programming keys are in the full owner's manual, starting on page 20.

You can get a free full owner's manual from Jeep.com under the "owners" section.

Since you have a 2014 JK, you have two working keys. Get additional keys NOW, in case you loose one. You need two working keys to self-program additional keys. Get the made in the USA keys. They are better quality than some of the imported keys.
