well at least they did something kind of usefull and tweeked the axles. the rest is just colorfull crap. ooooh a badge oooh colored tow hook oooooh colored stiching : p

I'm curious to know what they mean, specifically, by stronger tubes and more robust end forgings.

My guess would be that they are using leftover J8 housings. Being one of the last production years of the JK body they might be switching to something else.

Ya gotta understand - red tow hooks add 5 horsepower each !

My question is, where is the half inch lift coming from? Is it a spacer or is it in new springs made just for the Recon?

It's a new spring, or different more robust coil spring perches on the J8 military spec front axle. There are no spring spacers on my Recon.
