2 things
1st I know this is not the rumor thread but I had heard from the grapevine that the 08's are stock with 3.73's for gas miliage not sure how true it is but thats what I have heard. Something to do with the new energy bill getting ready to come out.
2nd About running two differnt gears at the same time. Is it true that if you are in some mud or other material and the tires can spin freely that there will be no binding takeing place? Isnt this how the professional mud boggers do it that most of us watched on the redneck channel? If you are in 2wd will ther be any troubles. My coworker replaced his rear but not his front yet.

3.21's are standard on all models and the 3.73's are the upgrade for 08, 07's had 4.10 for the option which I do miss, just not as much after braking in the computer.

I too am a bit slow....please talk about your adjustment to the new gears vs the computer breaking in.... What happens after the computer breaks in (I've only got 150 miles on mine, so this is something important to me)? Thanks.

There is a reduced power period for breaking in. If you look around, you will find that people have complained about the power of their Jeeps in the first few hundred miles. This is my second JK and I have noticed the increase in power in both after the break in period. It is not like taking a full second of your quarter mile time, but it does seem to have more pick up.
